Short Biography

 

      Thijs Metsch is currently working for SUN Microsystems on Grid, Cloud and Virtualisation technologies. He co-founded and co-chairs OGF’s Open Cloud Computing Interface working group chartered with creating APIs/Protocols for modern Cloud Computing platforms. He is also involved in the creation of Software technologies for the RESERVOIR project.

        Prior to joining SUN he worked as a technical project leader at the German Aerospace Center – DLR e.V. During this time he was involved in the creation of a multipurpose integration platform for engineers as a software architect. He also worked on Software Engineering processes and the enforcements of these. During a stay at Argonne National Lab he worked on Firewall and Security issues within computational Grids.
