Joost Rommelaere

Short biography


Mr. Joost Rommelaere is a senior IT Executive with more than 20 years of experience in business and IT.  He has mainly worked for blue-chip companies such as Monsanto and ABB and in the last 10 years he was CIO of Pioneer Europe and Tessenderlo Group. During his career he has been focusing on business/IT alignment, change and transformation of business through global ERP implementations, turn-around of IT organizations and optimizing the sourcing of IT services.

Mr. Rommelaere holds an MSc degree in electrical engineering of the University of Gent (Belgium),  an MSc degree in IT of the University of Manchester (UK) and an MBA degree of the Vlerick Management School.

He is board member of the CIOforum Belgian Business, an independent organisation representing the CIO’s of the larger enterprises within Belgium.
