The Aim & Purpose of the SIENA Roadmap
OVERVIEW Martin Antony Walker, BSc, DIC, PhD, provides independent studies, analyses, advice in high-performance and distributed computing, and related areas. He is also Chair of SIENA Roadmap Editorial Board. Walker offers insight into the objectives and aims of the SIENA Roadmap which will describe the paths to create an e-infrastructure for research in the ERA; address the needs of disparate virtual communities incorporate advances in ICT; and align with European and national strategic priorities and initiatives.
